About The Position

The Lease Accounting Analyst supports Lineage’s global ASC 842 lease accounting function across the US, Canada, Europe, and Asia Pacific in support of quarterly and annual SEC reporting. This individual-contributor role executes the monthly lease cycle, including lease abstraction, journal entries, reconciliations, and disclosure support, with accountability for accuracy, documentation, and deadlines. The Analyst works independently within established procedures and escalates complex judgments to senior team members and the Manager. The role includes identifying, abstracting, and administering new, modified, and terminated leases; reviewing lease classifications and right-of-use asset calculations; processing lease modifications and remeasurement events; completing month-end close activities and Workday journal entry submissions; preparing reconciliations and account certifications; supporting ASC 842 disclosures, forecasts, and audits; and collaborating with cross-functional and regional finance teams. The Analyst also supports lease-system implementation, data validation, remediation, and maintenance of desk procedures. Success in the role requires accurate, well-documented work, ownership of assignments and close deadlines, timely communication, and independent system navigation. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
1–3 years of public, corporate, or lease accounting experience.
Working knowledge of US GAAP.
Strong Excel skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, month-end close environment.

Nice To Haves

CPA license; CPA candidates are considered.
Public accounting audit experience.
Familiarity with ASC 842, Workday, and lease software such as LeaseController or MRI.
Experience in a global, multi-currency environment.

Responsibilities

Identify new, modified, and terminated leases through monthly inquiries and apply Lineage’s materiality thresholds.
Abstract qualifying leases and modifications into the lease subledger, referencing key terms to the source contract.
Verify lease classification and initial right-of-use asset calculations against system output; maintain the lease tracker and supporting documentation.
Process lease modifications and remeasurement events and support mass-import abstractions.
Complete the monthly close review and apply Workday foreign exchange rates.
Convert LeaseController journal entries to Workday accounts and prepare regional files for the US, Canada, Europe, and Asia Pacific.
Load journal entries through Workday EIB, resolve import errors, and route entries through the approval workflow.
Prepare holding cash and balance sheet roll-forward reconciliations; investigate and document the root cause of variances above threshold.
Support capital lease payment reconciliations for Europe and the UK and communicate differences to local teams.
Prepare Blackline account certifications with complete supporting documentation.
Support quantitative ASC 842 disclosures for the 10-Q and 10-K and the quarterly lease completeness memo.
Prepare variance commentary and assist with budget and forecast updates for lease activity.
Provide documentation and explanations to internal and external auditors.
Partner with AP, Real Estate, Transportation, Procurement, Treasury, Technical Accounting, and regional finance teams to resolve discrepancies.
Support lease-system implementation, including data validation and remediation, and help maintain desk procedures.
