About The Position

The Learning Support Advisor (Intermediate) - Training Coordinator provides operational, logistical, and administrative support for learning and development programs across the Association. This role coordinates the planning, scheduling, and delivery of training events, manages learning paths, supports facility and training setup requirements, and ensures effective communication with stakeholders, business partners, and learners. The position also works closely with Learning & Development Teams across the Association to maintain adequate course coverage by coordinating instructor availability and supporting successful training execution. We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based in Chesapeake, VA. Relocation assistance is not available.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree; OR 4 years of relevant education and/or experience.
  • 2 or more years of administrative, analysis and/or resourcing experience to include at least 1 year of program/project management experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft suite and advanced knowledge of data analysis and associated tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Learning & Development experience, including LMS administration and support.
  • Prior training facilitation experience.
  • Strong prioritization and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provides intermediate working knowledge of all Enterprise Learning Center of Excellence (ELCOE) processes applicable to Delivery, Development, and Planning as it pertains to support of learning events.
  • Supports the ELCOE curriculum, facility configurations, learning paths, and ensures communication of the operational processes with all business partners and customers.
  • Schedules learning events as provided through the planning and request definition processes.
  • Matches the learning facility capabilities (room size, technology capability, other equipment, configuration, instructor, etc) with the scheduling requirements.
  • Performs both resourcing or preparation support for line of business.
  • Responsible for managing/ordering supplies and/or any equipment that the company uses for training purposes.
  • Manages Learning Management Systems, troubleshooting as necessary.
  • Maintains course catalog; process updates to course catalog to include course description, hours, course set up; creates/builds course codes for new courses.
  • Works under direct supervision.
  • Collaborates with team members to resolve issues and to identify appropriate issues for escalation.
  • Performs moderately complex work assignments to support other team members.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
