About The Position

Performs in-depth reviews of Training Course Control Documents and validation of technical resources required to properly train personnel detailed to serve on U.S. Navy surface ships. Provides course data collection and validation support in preparation for and during on-site SCSTC Training Readiness Inspection Program visits. Assists in the implementation of requirements in Electronic Classroom environments and the proper integration of curriculum. Provides expertise in curriculum test item analysis and implementation of requirements and standards for use in Learning Management Systems. Analyzes proposed changes and additions to curriculum and training systems to determine requirements for implementation and impacts to training process and system readiness.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years experience in Navy Training Management
  • At least 3 years experience in training material development
  • At least 3 years experience in authoring tools and life cycle maintenance
  • Understanding of Electronic Classroom (ECR) environments
  • Understanding of ECR LAN webpages
  • Understanding of My Navy Portal (MNP) Community of Practice (COP) functionality
  • Experience in curriculum test item analysis
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMSs) such as AIM, CPM or LEAD
  • Must have an Secret security clearance and the ability to maintain it
  • Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID, if travel requires domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases

Nice To Haves

  • Former Navy Course Supervisor experience
  • Master Training Specialist (MTS) qualification
  • Working knowledge and experience using the Navy’s Corporate enterprise Training Activity Resource System (CeTARS) and its subsystems (CERS, CSM, etc.)
