The Learning Facilitator, Online MPH works primarily with the Digital Learning Designers and also interfaces closely with development, teaching faculty, and students. Working closely with the production team, they assist in development, testing, and quality assurance (QA) on all aspects of each Online MPH module, including supporting faculty in the review and implementation on grading practices and rubrics to ensure a consistent, transparent and user-friendly assessment experience. They facilitate regular office hours for students to review learning material, assist with problem-solving, and offer extra sessions in areas where students need additional support. Learning Facilitators serve as the primary day-to-day academic point of contact for all Online MPH students, along with the teaching faculty. Being self-motivated with a mentality toward continuous improvement is important to success in this role. The Learning Facilitator is responsible for a variety of activities throughout a given online module, including timely and ongoing student feedback, grading assessments consistent with rubrics designed by faculty, ensuring student questions and concerns are addressed, and leading regular office hours that accommodate multiple time zones to review content, assist with problem-solving, and offer extra sessions in areas where students need additional support.
