About The Position

The Learning & Development Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously enhancing training programs that uphold and elevate the Nemacolin's luxury service standards. This role plays a critical part in cultivating a culture of excellence, ensuring all associates deliver exceptional guest experiences aligned with Forbes Five-Star standards. The ideal candidate is a dynamic educator and strategic thinker with a proven track record in curriculum development and luxury hospitality training. This is an on-site opportunity within a private resort setting and requires flexibility to support training across various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed. Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Learning & Development within luxury hospitality environments
  • Proven track record in teaching, facilitation, and training program development
  • Demonstrated expertise in curriculum design and instructional development
  • Strong working knowledge of Forbes Five-Star standards and luxury guest service expectations
  • Exceptional presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively with leaders at all levels of the organization
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • On-site role within a luxury resort setting
  • Requires flexibility to support training across various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement comprehensive learning and development strategies aligned with the resort’s service philosophy and business objectives
  • Create and maintain training curricula that reflect Forbes Five-Star standards and luxury hospitality best practices
  • Lead onboarding and orientation programs to ensure new hires are effectively integrated into the resort’s culture and service expectations
  • Facilitate engaging training sessions, workshops, and leadership development programs for associates and management
  • Partner with department leaders to assess training needs and develop targeted development initiatives
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics
  • Ensure consistent delivery of brand standards, guest service excellence, and operational procedures across all departments
  • Develop succession planning and career development pathways for high-potential associates
  • Stay current on industry trends, luxury service innovations, and adult learning methodologies
  • Maintain training records, compliance documentation, and reporting metrics
