About The Position

The Learning Consultant assists in the supervision of credit trainers and hourly representatives who support new team member training. This role also supervises and facilitates ad hoc task forces and focus groups within the credit department. The consultant is responsible for designing, delivering, and overseeing training for the Credit management team, as well as technical and job-related training for new team members, including collectors, customer service representatives, and authorizers across five production business units.

Requirements

  • Cross-trained in a minimum of two sub credit departments.
  • Experience in designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs.
  • Experience in conducting needs assessments.
  • Experience in establishing performance benchmarks and measuring training impact.
  • Experience in customer negotiation and call model skills.
  • Experience in training on performance tools, performance management, and team management.
  • Experience in training collectors, customer service representatives, and authorizers.
  • Ability to maintain connection to production departments by performing the work of non-exempt production employees.
  • Ability to stay current with new training and performance improvement trends and technology.
  • Ability to manage trainer performance and hourly employees assisting in training.
  • Ability to identify performance gaps.
  • Ability to develop training interventions with measurable impact.
  • Credible facilitation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Assists in the supervision of credit trainer(s) who spend 80% of their time training and hourly representatives who assist the Training Dept. with New team member training.
  • Supervises and facilitates ad hoc task forces and focus groups within entire credit department.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coach trainers and associates who assist in training delivery.
  • Design and deliver department-specific training programs focused on revenue, cash flow, and customer service, including customer negotiation and call model skills.
  • Design and deliver training to the management team on performance tools, performance management, and team management.
  • Develop, conduct, and evaluate new team member training for credit production employees to enhance performance across five production departments.
  • Conduct and analyze needs assessments for non-exempt production employees within credit to identify performance gaps.
  • Establish performance benchmarks and measure performance post-training to determine training impact on revenue protection, expense control, and employee satisfaction.
  • Ensure delivery of Customer First service through training, communication, and job knowledge.
  • Maintain connection to production departments by performing the work of non-exempt production employees to gain firsthand knowledge.
  • Stay current with new training and performance improvement trends and technology, evaluating methods and tools for application.
  • Assist the Training Manager and Director with special projects.
  • Effectively manage trainer performance and hourly employees assisting in training.
  • Identify performance gaps for non-exempt credit production employees.
  • Develop technical and job-related training interventions with measurable impact on performance.
  • Facilitate training interventions credibly.
