About The Position

ELS is hiring a Learning and Development Specialist in Chicago, Illinois. Reporting to the Vice President of Learning & Development, this role supports the development and employee engagement programs across the organization. The Specialist assists with executing, communicating, and implementing priorities related to onboarding, employee surveys, talent development, and performance management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology, Human Resources, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in learning and development or human resources, including designing and facilitating in-person workshops.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to create strong, positive working relationships.
• Analytical mindset and ability to suggest learning solutions.
• Continuous-learning and curious mindset, including taking appropriate risks, learning from the process, and developing improved approaches.
• Strong comfort using Microsoft Excel.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaboratively design and facilitate quarterly professional development workshops.
• Strengthen the onboarding program, including planning new-hire events.
• Support the performance management cycle, including goal setting, career conversations, talent review, and development opportunities.
• Assist with launching employee surveys and compiling their results.
