About The Position

The Learning and Development Specialist is an integral part of our Information Technology department. This role will be primarily responsible for delivering, tracking and coordinating a variety of training programs during the onboarding process and support firm-wide adoption efforts for new products, upgrades and initiatives across all departments. In addition, this position will assist in the development of training materials under the supervision of various product owners across the Firm. Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in a professional service environment or an educational role.
  • 3-5 years of experience working within a Microsoft based environment.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Must be passionate about teaching and technology, comfortable and proficient with computers, and an active learner who is eager to absorb—and share—new concepts.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment with flexibility for overtime and/or temporary schedule changes a must.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver, coordinate, track and report on pre-defined training programs (including online training services) for employee onboarding, refresher training and new deployments/upgrades.
  • Track and maintain a queue of upcoming training programs for the team.
  • Assist product owners in the development of training materials and course outlines.
  • Maintain ownership of the “Solutions” library ensuring content is still relevant and fresh, as well as publishing and communicating links to new solutions.
  • Contribute to identifying use-cases, testing and user acceptance for the deployment of new solutions and upgrades.
  • Regularly walk the floor to provide impromptu training, communicating self-service resources, and gathering feedback for the team.
  • Provide “concierge” training service to partners and other Firm leadership.
  • Constant collaboration with the internal team members on requests outside the scope of established training.
  • Coordinate and contribute to various team initiatives and projects (including SharePoint administration/updates).
