About The Position

The Learning and Development Consultant will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing training modules for internal staff and external partners. This role involves facilitating both in-person and virtual trainings, evaluating their effectiveness, and improving curriculum and delivery methods. The consultant will also provide customer service to training participants and stakeholders, support workforce initiatives, and partner with HR on internal employee training programs. Additionally, the role includes supporting community education initiatives, serving as an external consultant for fee-for-service engagements, and maintaining knowledge of current training methodologies and workforce trends. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Organizational Development, Education, or related field or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum 3 years designing and facilitating trainings.
  • Experience in healthcare, public health, or nonprofit environments.
  • Instructional design and curriculum development

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement engaging workforce training modules for internal staff and community and/or statewide partners.
  • Facilitate in-person and virtual trainings across a variety of topics.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and improve curriculum and delivery methods.
  • Identify and adapt existing training materials.
  • Provide timely, professional customer service to training participants and stakeholders by responding to inquiries, incorporating feedback, and resolving issues to ensure an excellent learner experience.
  • Support workforce initiatives across the GHN region and state, providing responsive customer service to internal teams and partners.
  • Collaborate with leadership and teams to support alignment of training with workforce priorities.
  • Assist in workforce-related events and education opportunities.
  • Partner with HR to support internal employee training programs, ensuring a positive and customer-focused employee experience.
  • Assist in delivering training initiatives as assigned.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning.
  • Support Operations and Communications with community education initiatives and events, ensuring excellent customer service for participants and partner organizations.
  • Collaborate with partners to align training with regional needs.
  • Serve as an external consultant for fee-for-service engagements, partnering with paying clients to assess needs, define scope, and recommend learning and workforce development solutions.
  • Build and deliver client-ready content (e.g., curricula, toolkits, facilitation guides, and presentation materials) that aligns with contract requirements, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Provide excellent customer service throughout the client lifecycle by setting clear expectations, communicating proactively, incorporating feedback, and addressing concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate project tracking, appropriate resourcing, and successful delivery of client commitments.
  • Support development of statements of work, project plans, and evaluation summaries for external client engagements, as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of training methodologies and workforce trends.
  • Pursue additional certifications as needed.
