About The Position
The Learn to Skate School Instructor is responsible for teaching pre-beginner to advanced lessons using ISI guidelines. This part-time position will assist in the testing and advancement of Learn to Skate participants. Classes are held year-round on Monday evenings from approximately 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Requirements
- Knowledge and experience instructing different skill levels of figure skating and hockey
- Good skating techniques, teaching and communication skills
- Experience working with children
- Must be available to work Monday evenings on a regular basis
- Must be at least 16 years of age
Responsibilities
- Instruct lessons according to the guidelines of the Learn to Skate School
- Provide assistance to patrons
- Provide direction in the event of an emergency
- Provide verbal and written reports to Learn to Skate School Director and Recreation Supervisor
- Other duties as assigned
