Perform simultaneous operations safely on multiple equipment/processes within the Cell to move product in a one-piece flow from one operation to another. This role is not dedicated to one machine or process but may be responsible for maintaining production throughput (setup, operate, troubleshoot) on various machinery including Manual Surface Grinders, CNC ID/OD Grinders, Manual or CNC Jig Grinders, CNC Wire EDM, EDM Drill, CNC Vertical Machining Centers, Polishing, and Inspection devices/CMM. The technician must set up and maintain equipment to meet part print specifications consistently, stopping and fixing problems when out of specification. Effective collaboration with other Cell Team members is crucial to meet production requirements. This includes sharing knowledge of operations/processes, cross-training, and eventually becoming proficient in all operations/processes within the Cell. For CNC equipment, the technician will be able to pull programs, validate them against prints, make offsets, adjust/change tooling, and debug new programs. Responsibilities also include performing First Piece and In-Process inspections using quality measuring instruments, documenting data, and tracking/posting Key Performance and Key Behavioral Indicators visually at the Cell. Other duties may be assigned.
