About The Position

The Lean Manufacturing Engineer at GE Vernova's Clearwater plant will be responsible for the end-to-end operational excellence roadmap. This role involves architecting and executing improvement strategies across multiple product lines to achieve measurable reductions in inventory, cycle time, and waste. The position operates within a culture that emphasizes lean principles as a fundamental way of working. The ideal candidate thrives on the plant floor, is adept at both teaching and leading kaizen events, and finds satisfaction in implementing and sustaining improvement plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or related Engineering
  • Internship or 0–2 years in manufacturing
  • Interest in Lean Manufacturing
  • Comfortable working on the production floor
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
  • Curious, proactive personality

Responsibilities

  • Drive operational excellence at the Clearwater plant through kaizen and lean events, continuous improvement activities and projects.
  • Utilize Lean methodologies to improve Safety, optimize production capacity, and drive sustainable cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Identify potential process improvement projects, drive lean manufacturing activities and ensure progress while tracking project status and closure.
  • Develop and coordinate lean manufacturing training and education.
  • Leverage best practice strategies and drive consistencies across site.
  • Facilitate kaizen events, develop sustainment plans and present to leadership.
  • Remain current on lean methodologies and train within the Plant on lean concepts and mentor people using lean tools.
