About The Position

The Lean Engineer will lead Kaizen events, process improvement projects, and value stream initiatives to drive measurable business results. This role involves partnering with production, engineering, quality, supply chain, and leadership teams to identify and eliminate waste. The engineer will also train, coach, and mentor employees on Lean principles, problem-solving tools, and continuous improvement best practices. Analyzing operational performance data and using Lean methodologies to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity are key aspects of this position. The role requires facilitating cross-functional teams, communicating project goals, progress, and results, and developing standard work, visual management systems, and process documentation. The Lean Engineer will serve as a champion for continuous improvement, promoting a culture of accountability, engagement, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Experience leading Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Kaizen, Six Sigma, or operational excellence initiatives in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean tools such as Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Standard Work, Visual Management, Root Cause Analysis, and Kaizen.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to independently lead projects and drive change.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, solve problems, and implement sustainable process improvements.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education, training, certifications, and relevant experience will also be considered.
