About The Position

As a Lean Engineer at Freudenberg, you will play a crucial role in driving continuous improvement initiatives across the site. This position involves leading Kaizen events, training teams on Lean principles, and partnering cross-functionally to identify and implement solutions that enhance manufacturing and operations. You will also mentor team members and contribute to a high-performance improvement culture, leading by example and fostering a proactive, accountable, and growth-focused environment aligned with company values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • 7–10 years of experience in Lean, Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, or process improvement roles.
  • 3–5 years of experience leading projects, initiatives, or teams in a manufacturing or operations environment.
  • Demonstrated success driving measurable improvements (productivity, quality, cost, safety, or lead time).
  • Strong knowledge of Lean tools and methodologies (Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Root Cause Analysis, etc.).
  • Experience working in cross-functional or matrix organizations, influencing stakeholders at multiple levels.
  • Hands-on leadership style with strong coaching, facilitation, and change management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and follow-up of Kaizen events, ensuring measurable improvements and clear communication of results across the site.
  • Drive site-wide continuous improvement initiatives, aligning efforts with broader operational excellence and business objectives.
  • Train and coach teams on Lean principles, tools, and sustainability practices to build internal capability and long-term impact.
  • Partner cross-functionally to identify inefficiencies and implement practical, value-driven solutions in manufacturing and operations.
  • Mentor and develop Continuous Improvement team members and site champions to strengthen a high-performance improvement culture.
  • Actively participate in and contribute to a broader Continuous Improvement/SME network, sharing best practices and advancing strategic initiatives.
  • Lead by example by fostering a proactive, accountable, and growth-focused culture aligned with company values.
