About The Position

CP Industries, a manufacturer of high-pressure steel cylinders and vessels, is seeking a Lean Coordinator to lead their continuous improvement efforts. This role involves partnering with various departments to drive improvements in safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost, while championing a culture of continuous improvement and developing workforce capabilities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of manufacturing or continuous improvement experience, or an equivalent combination
  • Proven track record leading Lean manufacturing initiatives with measurable results
  • Hands-on expertise with Lean tools: 5S, Kaizen, VSM, standard work, visual management, and root cause analysis
  • Strong communicator and influencer - able to engage and align people at all levels
  • Data-driven problem solver who can turn analysis into action
  • Organized and effective at managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Technology, Business, or a related field
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
  • Background in heavy manufacturing, machining, welding, fabrication, or assembly
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, ASME, or military quality standards

Responsibilities

  • Lead Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives across the facility
  • Facilitate Kaizen events, 5S activities, value stream mapping, and root cause analysis sessions
  • Analyze production data and process flows to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities
  • Develop, document, and implement standard work procedures with cross-functional teams
  • Coach and train employees, supervisors, and managers on Lean principles and tools
  • Monitor and report KPIs related to safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity
  • Support facility layout improvements, workflow optimization, and visual management systems
  • Track and communicate project progress and outcomes to management
  • Champion a culture of accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence
