Eaton’s ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Lean Associate OpEx. Requirements

  • College diploma in Manufacturing Technology, Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, Operations Management, Quality, Supply Chain, or related discipline.
  • One year’s experience utilizing Lean tools in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada with no company sponsorship.
  • Must reside within 100km of the Perth facility.
  • Strong Mechanical/Electrical product knowledge.
  • Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability and willingness to present information and facilitate discussions with groups.
  • Self-starter with strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced diploma, bachelor's degree, or additional post-secondary education in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Continuous Improvement, or a related field.
  • Formal training or certification in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma, problem solving, quality management systems, or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience working in an assembly and/or fabrication environment.
  • Experience with internal audits (5S, ISO) & operational assessments.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Kaizen team to facilitate or lead Kaizen events and complete related action items.
  • Resolve issues by engaging front office personnel and shop floor teams to implement improvements.
  • Identify and eliminate waste across manufacturing and business processes.
  • Support departments in achieving cost savings and continuous improvement goals.
  • Challenge the status quo and champion innovative ideas, including Industry 4.0 opportunities. Use digital and data-driven solutions to reduce manual work, improve visibility, and support operational excellence.
  • Participate in structured problem-solving activities, as required.
  • Serve as a positive role model and change advocate, encouraging others to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Create and update Standard Work Instructions.
  • Lead the training and implementation of 5S methodology.
  • Provide support for OpEx department activities, as needed.
