This position reports to the Lean and Continuous Improvement Manager within the Operations Excellence organization (OpX). This central team supports all manufacturing, assembly, and supply chain operations by promoting a strong culture of operational excellence and leading Lean transformation initiatives across our sites in Canada and worldwide. In this role, you will organize and lead Lean and Continuous improvement projects and activities (Kaizen, value stream mapping, problem solving, standard work), in a production context, to improve quality, delivery, cost, and productivity performance across our manufacturing and assembly operations. The position is based at our Longueuil location, from Monday to Friday, with flexible hours and exclusively on-site.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree (Mechanical, Industrial, Operations, or related field) or equivalent
  • Minimum 15 years of professional experience, including Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement
  • Strong background in a complex manufacturing environment (precision machining, aerospace, automotive, or equivalent)
  • Experience in industrial engineering – cells design
  • Advanced knowledge of Lean Six Sigma tools; Black Belt or Master Black Belt certification required or equivalent
  • Proven experience leading transformations, continuous improvement initiatives achieving measurable operational gains
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and change management skills
  • Strong coaching and interpersonal communication abilities
  • Results-oriented mindset, passionate about continuous improvement and operational excellence
  • This position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a very good knowledge of English to read and understand, on a daily basis, documentation and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and facilitate workshops (Value Stream Mapping, Problem Solving, Standard Work, etc.)
  • Identify and prioritize improvement themes aligned with operational objectives in our Longueuil plant (component manufacturing and engine assembly) as well as in other sites across Canada and worldwide
  • Ensure a strong shopfloor presence (Gemba-walks, Meeting Tiers) working closely with production teams to understand their needs and address improvement opportunities
  • Participate in performance review meetings to identify gaps and recommend improvement plans
  • Measure and track benefits (OTD, quality, cost, productivity …)
  • Ensure standardization of best practices
  • Coaching of the operational teams and promote the culture of continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain to support some suppliers to optimize their production process
