Our Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics and Global Services supporting Caterpillar dealers and customers. Our teams work together in critical areas that leverage digital capabilities, technology and operational excellence. As a Lean 6 Sigma Black Belt, you will be responsible for leading, managing, and supporting projects related to process and product improvements using Lean, Six Sigma and project management methodologies to achieve business goals.

Requirements

Interpersonal Relationships: Knowledge of the techniques and the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
Process Improvement: Understanding and insight into evaluating current product quality and production methods and ability to maintains focus on the continuous improvement of processes, products and services.
Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.

Lean or Six Sigma experience (or willingness to complete training)
Background in supply chain, logistics, or warehousing
Strong communication skills across all levels, with the ability to create and execute communication plans

Effective facilitation and presentation skills, especially for leading workshops

Responsibilities

Utilize Six Sigma and Lean principles, including supporting systems and tools, for quality and business process improvement.
Lead and manage Six Sigma project portfolios to achieve measurable business process improvements.
Provide technical training and guidance for Green Belt professionals on the planning, development and implementation of Six Sigma projects.
Lead, coach, teach and develop others to use LEAN tools and methodologies to drive sustainable continuous improvement.
Plan and execute Rapid Improvement Workshops (RIWs) and Kaizen events.
