About The Position

American Leak Detection is hiring a Leak Detection Technician for a fast-paced service role. The company’s mission is to find leaks in a non-invasive, efficient, and environmentally sound manner while providing prompt, professional, and courteous service. Technicians serve internal and external customers and represent the company in the field, helping create a positive customer impression and support client retention. The technician works at residential and commercial properties, locates leaks using detection equipment, provides repair estimates, and performs leak repairs. The role includes communicating with customers about detection and repair progress and submitting daily reports to the office for final analysis and review. Advanced training covers underground line tracking and video, ultrasonic, and infrared technologies, as well as indoor and outdoor leak repairs. The position requires the ability to work independently and in a group setting. Applicants should submit a cover letter explaining why the role is a good fit. Requirements

At least 1 year of customer service experience.
Ability to work independently and in a group setting.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals with appropriate grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, employees, clients, customers, and the general public.
Friendly, confident, and reassuring communication style; honesty in communication is required.
Attention to detail and accuracy of information relayed.
Interpersonal skills and proficiency in business vocabulary.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and handle high-stress situations.

Nice To Haves

Previous plumbing or repair experience is preferred but not required.
Military veterans are welcomed.

Responsibilities

Arrive onsite in a timely manner and greet customers in a friendly manner.
Keep customers informed about the status of leak detections and repairs.
Operate leak detection equipment and locate leaks at residential and commercial properties.
Provide repair estimates.
