About The Position
The Leadership Summit is an event designed to give college sophomores and juniors an informative and engaging look into the accounting profession. It provides an opportunity to explore career paths in Audit, Tax, and Controllership through interactive experiences, build a network with James Moore professionals and other students, and experience the people, culture, and opportunities available at James Moore. The event includes a welcome breakfast, a panel discussion with experienced professionals, department job shadowing, a networking lunch, and closing networking with refreshments.
Requirements
- College sophomores through juniors
- Majors in Accounting or Finance with an interest in the accounting profession
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Students who are curious, eager to learn, and interested in exploring career opportunities in accounting
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Responsibilities
- Attend welcome and breakfast with introduction to James Moore Leadership.
- Hear from the CEO about company culture, career opportunities, and community impact.
- Participate in a panel discussion with experienced professionals about career paths, the CPA exam, and work-life balance.
- Engage in department job shadowing to gain insight into Audit, Tax, and Controllership careers.
- Attend a networking lunch to connect with James Moore professionals and fellow students.
- Participate in closing networking with refreshments and conversation.
