Leadership Summit
About The Position
The Leadership Summit is a one-day event designed to give college sophomores and juniors an informative and engaging look into the accounting profession. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore career paths in Audit, Tax, and Controllership through interactive experiences, build their network by connecting with James Moore professionals and other students, and experience life at James Moore by getting a firsthand look at the people, culture, and opportunities available within the accounting profession. The event includes a welcome breakfast, a panel discussion with experienced professionals, department job shadowing, and a networking lunch.
Requirements
- College sophomores through juniors
- Majors in Accounting or Finance with an interest in the accounting profession
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Students who are curious, eager to learn, and interested in exploring career opportunities in accounting
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Responsibilities
- Attend welcome and breakfast, networking, and introduction to James Moore Leadership.
- Hear from the CEO about company culture, career opportunities, and community impact.
- Participate in a panel discussion with experienced professionals, asking questions about career paths, the CPA exam, and work-life balance.
- Engage in department job shadowing to gain insight into Audit, Tax, and Controllership careers.
- Attend a networking lunch to build connections with James Moore professionals and fellow students.
- Participate in closing and networking with refreshments and conversation.
