The Stanley Black & Decker Leadership Development Program (“SLP”) is a high-profile rotational program that is an integrated process for accelerating the development of our future leaders. It is geared toward recent graduates with Human Resources internship experience and a relevant business degree with a passion for a long-term career in Human Resources and People Operations. Engineering SLPs work in three 8-month rotations in Engineering, Product Management and Operations at different facilities across the United States. Each rotation has project assignments that allow participants to become familiar with how we do business and contribute to the success of that facility. The program offers invaluable experiences for early-career associates seeking challenging developmental opportunities to jump-start their careers. As a part of the SLP program, you’ll be part of our Engineering team. You’ll get to design and develop electronic firmware and specifications for power tools including brushless DC motor controls, Li-Ion battery management systems and battery chargers. You will implement and validate electronic designs through software development, test and simulation. You will develop software verification and validation procedures using unit and integration tests. You will provide leadership in achieving cost, performance and quality objectives of all related electronic systems, components and sub-assemblies. You will develop solutions for electronic systems related issues as an integral member of a larger team. You will maintain appropriate documentation for work performed. You will translate customer requirements into software specifications. You will embrace cross functional team work.
