About The Position

GoldBook Financial is seeking an accomplished Leadership Director with an established advisor practice to grow into a broader leadership role. This position focuses on developing, mentoring, and guiding a team of advisors toward ongoing success, ensuring sales growth by recruiting, evolving, and leading a team of financial advisors to meet annual production targets. This is a full-time, on-site role for a Vice President of Sales Management in La Jolla, CA and/or Scottsdale, AZ. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in selling protection and investment products, or managing a successful sales team in this area. They should be a leader, coach, and mentor with a track record of successful sales management, possessing strong relationship-building skills and a people-first approach. The role requires independence, self-motivation, goal orientation, diplomacy, patience, comfort with change, enthusiasm for competition, and the ability to prioritize the team's needs. Attention to detail and a commitment to measuring results are essential. This role is hybrid and allows for the retention of a book of business and personal production.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work and commute to office
  • Life, Accident & Health Insurance Licensed
  • FINRA Licenses: Series 7 and 66
  • A strong track record of building a successful financial advisory practice
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, coach, and develop high-performing advisors

Responsibilities

  • Lead front-line recruiting efforts to identify, attract, and engage qualified financial professionals who align with the firm’s values, growth goals, and client-focused approach.
  • Establish networks and cultivate referrals to generate a steady stream of candidates.
  • Partner closely with the recruiting and leadership teams throughout each stage of the recruitment process.
  • Provide hands-on leadership and oversee reps as they grow into successful financial professionals.
  • Set clear expectations around activity, pipeline, business strategy and case support.
  • Provide ongoing support to a financial professional with a focus on long-term success.
  • Broaden and deepen skillset through ongoing professional development and joint work with fellow associates.
