About The Position

Leadership Board Members support the completion of launch steps 8–10 and the operation of a live LifeWise program. They provide input and direction to the program director, who manages the program’s day-to-day operations, and help oversee the five areas of operations: Leadership, Location, Logistics, Loot, and Language. Board membership is intended to represent the broader Christian community and include members from at least three churches. The board should have three to nine members in addition to the program director, with at least one member responsible for each operational area; members may take responsibility for more than one area. This is a volunteer role. Members must commit to at least one year of service and may not hold a paid position within the program while serving on its leadership board. Requirements

Have a mature personal Christian faith in agreement with the “What We Believe” section of the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
Actively participate in and commit to a local church whose doctrine aligns with the “What We Believe” section of the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
Complete board-member role-specific training.
Complete a background check and Child Abuse Awareness and Mandated Reporting training once every three years.
Commit to a minimum of one year of service.
Demonstrate a proven track record of the LifeWise Core Values of Commitment and Competence.
Be motivated by love for the Lord and supportive of the gospel-centered purposes of a local LifeWise program.
Have the know-how, skills, and relationships to get things done.
Do not hold a paid position within the program while serving on its leadership board.

Responsibilities

Provide input and direction to the program director regarding day-to-day program operations.
Recruit and onboard program staff and volunteers (Leadership).
Research, secure, and prepare the program facility and transportation (Location).
Coordinate operational details and maintain positive communications with the school (Logistics).
Lead fundraising efforts and manage the program budget and finances (Loot).
Ensure public communications are excellent and contain appropriate messaging (Language).
Diligently execute the T-Minus Plan before program launch.
Actively participate in fundraising.
Attend scheduled meetings faithfully.
Pray consistently for the local program.
Provide contact information for a local church leader at a church where the member actively participates.
