Leadership Board Members assist with completion of launch steps 8–10 and the operation of a live LifeWise Academy program. They provide input and direction to the program director in managing day-to-day operations and help oversee five operational areas: Leadership (recruiting and onboarding staff and volunteers), Location (researching, securing, and preparing facilities and transportation), Logistics (coordinating details and maintaining positive communications with the school), Loot (leading fundraising and managing the budget and finances), and Language (ensuring public communications are excellent and appropriately messaged). The board should have three to nine members in addition to the program director, represent at least three churches and the broader Christian community, and assign responsibility for each of the five operational areas. Members may take responsibility for more than one area. Members must demonstrate a mature Christian faith consistent with LifeWise Academy’s Statement of Faith, participate actively in an aligned local church, complete role-specific training, and undergo a background check and Child Abuse Awareness and Mandated Reporting training once every three years. They are expected to execute the T-Minus Plan before launch, participate in fundraising, attend scheduled meetings, serve for at least one year, and pray consistently for the local program. Board members may not hold a paid position within the program while serving. Applicants must provide contact information for a local church leader with whom they are actively involved. Applicants apply through the program webpage’s “Join the Team” button and will be contacted by the LifeWise team with next steps. This is a volunteer position.
