About The Position

Dover Food Retail (DFR) is seeking a collaborative and influential manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of its Product Application group in Conyers, GA. This role is crucial for enhancing front-end product application processes, including design, quoting, and order securing, with a strong emphasis on speed and accuracy. The goal is to build a robust and consultative team of Product Application Specialists who contribute to customer loyalty and revenue generation.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
10+ years of experience in the HVAC/R industry
7-10 years of experience in a leadership role
Excellent communication skills
Process improvement / problem-solving mindset
Ability to manage through influence
High-energy and strong sense of urgency
Results-oriented

Nice To Haves

5+ years working in product application
Process improvement certification(s) such as Lean or Six Sigma
Prior experience in customer-facing roles

Responsibilities

Manage daily operations to ensure service-level agreements for quote lead time and on-time delivery are met.
Establish and maintain a robust communication protocol for quotes or orders falling outside of service-level agreements.
Distribute workload effectively, considering team members' strengths and development areas to maximize output and foster empowerment and accountability.
Focus on collaborative and cross-functional process improvement, identifying and driving automation projects to completion.
Leverage strategic geographic centers of excellence to reduce the cost to serve.
Coach and develop the Product Application team to become consultative sales partners, adding value to front-end processes.
Ensure communication and customer experiences lead to customer loyalty and revenue generation.
Utilize Daily Management outputs and other tools to improve data speed and quality, providing intelligent insights for the organization.
Serve as the point person for the implementation of new products or features, ensuring their quick assimilation into front-end processes.
