About The Position

Assure the delivery of quality improvements and cost reductions that produce significant savings and outstanding levels of customer satisfaction. Prioritize, decide and accelerate execution of cost improving measures in sub-region. Improve Operations KPIs, e.g. but not limited to Scrap % of Sales, OEE, CU, TEEP, Labor Cost as % of Sales, etc. in line with company targets. Ensure quick exchange of successful CI measures amongst plants in region by identifying, formalizing and disseminating them. Determine generally relevant CI measures of particular cost reducing potential as candidates for a BBP and submit to BBP Board. Improve Employee skills within the Organization in regard to CI Tools (CI Academy).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Engineering
  • At least 5 years experience in a automotive manufacturing environment
  • Engineering/Process experience
  • Solid knowledge of manufacturing principles

Responsibilities

  • Identify gaps in Operations KPIs and then work with CI Manager level of the plant in establishing and executing a strategy for improving them
  • Assess the current state of the department’s or plant’s Continuous Improvement Roadmap; Assist in developing future state vision and drive and monitor the implementation plan for plant or sub-region.
  • Coaches CI team, including department or plant staff, Lean Six Sigma Black Belts and other CI practitioners (Green Belts, Lean practitioners, KT practitioners) to apply correct tools and the DMAIC milestones for continuous improvement.
  • Ensures Process Owner involvement in SOW development and team leadership.
  • Using standard tracking and reporting systems, will prepare detailed plans, drive project performance, and assure timely completion and achievement of product / process quality, and savings goals for the Region.
  • Assists Process Owners in identifying barriers to project success and helps to drive changes when needed.
  • Drive and support best practice sharing and implementation across business units.
  • Assist CI Managers in any strategic initiative that will help in compliance to standards, implementing new systems, and designing creative solutions that will continuously improve the plant.
  • Is accountable to deliver the Regional and department annual CI goals
  • Conducts specialised CI and Lean trainings
  • Demonstrates competence and leadership by executing CI projects personally in plant
  • Execute the role of the Regional Energy Designate
  • All other tasks as assigned
