About The Position

This position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in coordination of the daily responsibilities of the department by insuring the Supervisor’s instructions are communicated to the team members and carried out timely and correctly. This position will also monitor all equipment to insure it is working properly and notify the supervisor of any needed maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • 6 months continuous work history with single employer in past 12 months
  • Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days
  • Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Tyson Foods
  • Must be able to communicate efficiently
  • Must be able to maneuver freely throughout the plant
  • Must be able to tolerate walking, standing for duration of shift
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds plus
  • Must be able to use hands, lifting, bending, and twisting
  • Must be able to use knives, scissors and other hand tools
  • The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

  • Gives breaks to line personnel as needed and fills in for absenteeism as necessary
  • Insures USDA, SSOP, HACCP and production requirements are met
  • Assists in monitoring changeovers, product flow and rotation
  • Assists with general housekeeping
  • Fills in for supervisor as required
  • Communicates Supervisor’s instructions to team members and ensures they are carried out timely and correctly
  • Monitors all equipment to ensure it is working properly and notifies the supervisor of any needed maintenance
  • Maintains a safe work environment and adheres to Tyson policies and procedures
  • Troubleshoots, maintains, and repairs all equipment and company assets
