About The Position

Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on Workday technical development experience
- Expert-level coding in Workday Extend
- Deep proficiency with Workday integrations and APIs (REST/SOAP)
- Demonstrated experience supporting Workday Financial Management (GL, Expense, Source to Pay)
- Strong technical skills with Studio, Orchestrate, XML, JSON, XSLT
- Proven ability to operate independently and lead technical delivery within enterprise Finance environments
- Fully technical background (not functional)
Nice To Haves
- BIRT reporting experience for Workday Financials or document outputs
- Workday certifications (Financials, Integrations, Extend)
- Experience in regulated, large-scale, or highly integrated environments
- Successful prior contract-to-hire conversion
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and deploy advanced Workday integrations using Studio, Orchestrate, EIB, Core/Cloud Connectors, and REST/SOAP APIs
- Develop custom solutions and orchestrations in Workday Extend with hands-on coding
- Engineer and support inbound/outbound integrations between Workday Financials and external systems (ERP, procurement, banking, expense, etc.)
- Perform data transformations using XML, JSON, XSLT, and calculated fields
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across all environments
- Provide technical engineering support for Workday Financials modules: General Ledger (GL), Expense, and Source to Pay (S2P)
- Ensure solutions align with finance transaction flows, accounting structures, and data models
- Lead technical solution design, code reviews, and mentor fellow engineers
- Collaborate with architects, project managers, and functional partners to support end-to-end delivery
- Proactively identify opportunities for automation, performance optimization, and stability
- Maintain up-to-date technical documentation and integration specs
- Stay current on Workday releases, especially enhancements in Financials, Extend, APIs, and Orchestrate
