About The Position

Cannonball Recruiting is seeking a Lead Welder for a high volume metal fabrication facility located in York, PA. The candidate will be responsible for weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing on various gauges of metal according to mechanical drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction.

Requirements

10+ years of experience with Welding and Fabrication
MIG Welding experience on steel and aluminum is required.
Ability to work off of Mechanical Drawings and Specifications
Leadership/Supervisory experience
Ability to communicate with the team and Plant Manager
Ability to understand drawings and specifications
Knowledge and experience working with various welding and finishing equipment
Ability to work with a wide range of gauges of metal
Work in cooperation with other welders and team members

Nice To Haves

TIG experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Interpret drawings and specifications, including weld requirement symbology
Perform light and heavy arc and gas welding on items such as frames, racks, metal casings, trucks, skids, low pressure tanks, welding and brazing of dies, etc. using welding machines and acetylene welding equipment
Perform grinding operations using manual and power tools
Maintain welding equipment through regular welding equipment maintenance
Communicate with the team and Plant Manager
