About The Position

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Welder/Fabricator Lead to join our team and drive excellence in metal fabrication and welding operations. Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent required
Strong mechanical ability
Employee is responsible for planning and carrying out tasks or work on projects independently up to final review and decisions.
May direct the work of other others to fabricate and assemble products by using drawings, sketches, and verbal direction

Responsibilities

Oversee daily fabrication activities
Lead a team of skilled welders and fabricators
Ensure all work adheres to safety standards and quality specifications
Deliver high-quality metal structures and components that meet project deadlines and client expectations
Hand and power tool mastery
Be proficient in wielding processes necessary for SCI manufacturing; read electrical prints & layouts, read piping prints (two-lined & isometric); read mechanical prints; read and understand suppliers’ instructions
Fabricate and assemble products by using drawings, sketches, and verbal direction
Be proficient in some forms of process and tack wielding; basic electrical skills including lay out and mount conduit and pull & terminate wire; lay out, cut & thread, and mount piping systems; set and align motors, pumps, other mechanical components etc.; lay out, set, level & align furnace drive systems.
Use overhead cranes and fork trucks to set up and/or move equipment
Assist in loading and unloading equipment
Perform jobsite installations as part of a field team and as a team leader
Assist in the training of less skilled or less experienced mechanics as directed by plant management
Perform other duties and functions as required.
