Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required.
  • 3+ years of experience in warehouse support, distribution operations, shipping, receiving, inventory control, material handling, or a related field
  • Ability to read and understand the English language to compare and read product descriptions, names and shelf labels.
  • Must possess basic mathematical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with others.
  • Strong organizational skills; detail oriented.
  • Have a good overall understanding of DC workflow and can work with minimal guidance
  • Maintains a clean work area to help ensure that merchandise remains clean and to help prevent work related injuries.
  • Ability to use good judgment to carry out detailed instructions.
  • Must be able to work overtime when necessary and participate in physical inventory.
  • Must be a team player and demonstrate effective communication and problem-solving skills
  • Must have proficiency to operate IE, reach truck, picker machines, pallet jack, forklift, etc.
  • Maintain appropriate attendance standards.
  • Ability to operate in a production-driven environment and perform at a level that is 95% or greater of engineered standards.
  • Physical activity requiring reaching, bending, kneeling, stooping, pulling, carrying, balancing, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, feeling, repetitive motions, talking and hearing.
  • Ability to lift 65 lbs.
  • Visual requirement is for close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
  • Associate is required to stand, walk (or otherwise be mobile).
  • Ability to deal with stressful situations as they arise.
  • Ability to operate equipment such as forklifts, pickers, etc.
  • Must be able to use wrist mounted controller unit.
  • Must be able to use box cutter to open boxes of product.
  • Ability to work in a refrigerated environment and/or hot and cold temperatures for entire work shift as needed.

  • Basic computer knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Trains other warehouse associates in duties and responsibilities according to SOPs and observes performance to provide feedback
  • May use a PkMS device to perform daily tasks or may do these tasks without the use of a PkMS device
  • Responsible to assist warehouse personnel with the efficient execution of order filling, receiving, stocking and returns.
  • May oversee shipping and general operations (UPS, emergency orders or general deliveries).
  • Continues to perform as an individual contributor completing advanced tasks and decision making with detailed knowledge of the position and procedures.
  • As shift Lead, provides day-to-day tactical direction and guidance to warehouse associates. Responsible for daily workloads. Coordinates workflow.
  • Makes recommendations on process flow and efficiencies.
  • Verifies merchandise received against receiving documents, notes and reports discrepancies and any obvious damages.
  • Stocks shelves and rotates inventory so that newly-received items can be used last
  • May prepare orders for shipment by pulling items from shelves and placing them in totes to be packed and shipped in a timely way.
  • May process and perform data entry of returns; may also return merchandise to proper shelf in the warehouse.
  • Performs daily counting and researching of discrepancies.
  • May perform controlled substance stocking, replenishment and order fulfillment in a vault or refrigerated environment for part of or an entire shift.
  • May assist with inventory procedures.
  • Complies with all appropriate policies, procedures, safety rules, and state and DEA regulations.
  • Perform order fulfillment, stocking and replenishment, and outbound shipping of customer orders.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.
