The Shiseido Americas Distribution Center is seeking a Warehouse Lead who prioritizes safety, quality, urgency, purpose, integrity, and a positive attitude. This role involves working closely with the Operations Supervisor to establish, implement, and enforce company initiatives and policies, maintaining high standards of efficiency and quality for internal and external customers. The Lead will provide daily work direction to warehouse workers to increase efficiency and accuracy, and communicate with other Leads to ensure a smooth flow of product.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience as a warehouse worker; or any equivalent combination of acceptable training, education, and experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a lead or supervisory role.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Strong English language, math, reading, and writing skills.
  • Experience in using business tools such as PC or Laptop, Outlook, Word, Excel, Inventory management systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using warehouse equipment and RF scanner preferred.
  • Ability to learn & perform all warehouse processes as needed.
  • Transportation experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison between management and team members.
  • Speak respectfully of company and team members.
  • Enforce company policies and procedures.
  • Provide feedback to Supervisor when inconsistencies are observed.
  • Meet deadlines and goals established by department supervisor or manager.
  • Provide feedback to supervisors on strengths and development needs of team members.
  • Deliver monthly performance reviews to temporary agency staff.
  • Lead by example, being approachable, following through on promises and commitments, and demonstrating consistency between words and actions.
  • Monitor the break schedules of the employees in their section and hold them accountable to the schedule.
  • Maintain and enforce company Safety and Security policies.
  • Recognize the impact of own decisions on company, customers, and team members.
  • Interact with Commercial drivers at Shipping gates.
  • Be able to efficiently run the department in Supervisors’ absence.
  • Have the ability to drive Powered Industrial Equipment (Reach truck, Double pallet rider).
