About The Position

This is a fast-paced, physical role responsible for carrying out the logistics of receiving, processing, storing, and sending inventory according to established shipping schedules. The Lead Warehouse Agent provides training and daily supervision of the technical staff in the area of responsibility and offers input to adjust schedules based upon absences, emergency staffing, and vacancies. The mission of Correctional Managed Care is to address the healthcare needs of underserved patient populations within the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) and the Texas Juvenile Justice Department (TJJD).

Requirements

Communicates effectively orally and in writing with coworkers, supervisors, and customers.
Proficient in use of computers and related technology.
Capacity to execute the movements required to perform essential job functions including manual dexterity and memory.
Ability to accurately count and restock inventory.
While performing the duties of this job, will continuously stand or walk; stoop; kneel; bend; squat; climb ladders; and lift items frequently.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and up to 25 lbs frequently.
Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs over head.
Must be able to perform repetitive motions.
High school or equivalent and two (2) years related experience.

Nice To Haves

Forklift certification and pallet jack experience.

Responsibilities

Performs all the duties of Warehouse Agent.
Serves as a technical resource and/or point person of an assigned area.
Assists in the supervision of staff including orientation, training, and performance evaluations.
Instructs staff in proper procedures and techniques; observes and reviews work of staff to assure that standards are being followed.
Provides input on performance management and coaching of assigned staff members.
Assists in the supervision, receipt and unpacking of a wide variety of commodities arriving by various modes of transportation.
Checks contents received or distributed against invoices and purchase orders and reports discrepancies.
Checks for damage of materials.
Ensures customer orders are picked, checked, and packed accurately and in a timely fashion.
Performs inventory counts as directed and makes adjustments when needed and authorized.
Monitor compliance of safety and security procedures.
Maintains files of purchase orders, requisitions, and other records for an assigned area.
Directs hazardous materials to the proper area for safe storage.
Maintains a neat, clean, and organized work area.
May be responsible for medication returns and disposal of pharmaceutical waste, depending on assigned department.
Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure established for department.
Performs related duties as required.
