About The Position

West Lancaster Animal Hospital is looking for an experienced and/or Licensed Veterinary Technician who is ready to step into a Lead Technician role. If you’re excited to challenge yourself, support your team, and help others grow while continuing to use your technical skills, this could be a great fit. Already have Lead Tech experience? Even better — we’d love to hear from you. This role involves leading by example while supporting excellent patient care and client service, assisting with weekly surgeries and dental procedures, and utilizing technical skills in anesthesia, diagnostics, treatments, and patient care. The Lead Technician will also support team communication, workflow, and organization, mentor and encourage team members, and communicate with clients clearly, confidently, and compassionately. The goal is to help create a positive, collaborative, and efficient hospital environment with steady leadership, strong organization, and a cool head during busy days.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Veterinary Technician
  • Licensed technician experience preferred
  • Interest in or experience with team leadership
  • Strong technical skills and a passion for high-quality veterinary care
  • Excellent client communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to stay calm, organized, and supportive in a busy clinical environment
  • Empathy for clients, patients, teammates, and yourself
  • A growth mindset and willingness to support the development of others
  • A positive attitude, sense of humor, and genuine passion for pets and veterinary medicine
