About The Position

We are seeking a professional and guest service-focused Lead Valet Parking Attendant, responsible for leading the Valet Parking team in daily duties to ensure competent, and prompt service to guests, delivering exceptional service and creating memorable experiences, while showcasing what the Element has to offer them.

Requirements

  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience, in a valet parking or similar role, preferably in a hotel/resort environment.
  • An outstanding work ethic, along with a track record of reliability, punctuality and an approachable demeanor, with a strong commitment to safety.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Someone who places priority on providing guests with the best possible experiences, going above and beyond to ensure total satisfaction and guest loyalty.
  • An exceptional leader and problem-solver, knowing how to troubleshoot and resolve situations efficiently, guiding and developing the team to do the same.
  • Excellent computer skills; proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Able to work well under pressure, multitask and enjoys a fast-paced environment.
  • An impeccable driving record, able to operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles and possesses a clean drivers abstract.
  • Able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Physically able to stand and walk for long periods of time, potentially run when required and be able to lift or carry objects up to 50 pounds or more.

Nice To Haves

  • Supervisory experience is an asset.
  • A post-secondary degree holder in Hospitality or other related discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Always provide the highest quality of service to our guests and associates alike, leading by example.
  • Oversee the Valet Parking team to ensure the safe and efficient parking of guests' vehicles.
  • Assign tasks, delegate responsibilities, and supervise daily operations.
  • Train and onboard new Valet Parking team members and ensure they all follow company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and update parking logs and ensure proper documentation for all transactions.
  • Manage and resolve guest complaints and issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Monitor inventory levels and submit requisitions for new equipment or supplies as needed.
  • Conduct routine inspections of the parking garage and designated areas to ensure cleanliness and safety.
  • Communicate with management and other departments to ensure seamless coordination of services.
  • Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines related to valet parking services.
  • Be a hands-on, productive member of team.
  • Ensure all safety and security policies and procedures are consistently followed by all team members and that they all report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions.
