Requirements

  • Proven employment record of excellent managerial and organizational skills
  • Excellent die repair, die maintenance and diagnostic skills
  • High school diploma with Tool and Die Journeyman status
  • Knowledge of departmental processes and procedures to include: progressive dies transfer tooling and systems check fixtures holding and welding fixtures automated equipment
  • Proven die design review skills
  • CAD, SURFCAM, MASTERCAM programs
  • CNC operations
  • Preventive Maintenance procedures
  • DOL Apprenticeship program
  • Personal tools required
  • Overtime as required

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the Tool Room operations for the 2nd shift.
  • Ensure excellent managerial and organizational skills are applied.
  • Perform and oversee die repair, die maintenance, and diagnostic tasks.
  • Review and understand departmental processes and procedures, including progressive dies, transfer tooling and systems, check fixtures, holding and welding fixtures, and automated equipment.
  • Utilize proven die design review skills.
  • Operate and manage CAD, SURFCAM, MASTERCAM programs.
  • Oversee CNC operations.
  • Implement and manage preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Participate in the DOL Apprenticeship program.
  • Perform all essential functions on the plant floor, in meetings, and with employees, management, customers, and suppliers.
  • Work in an environment characterized by temperature extremes, loud noise, and considerable tow motor traffic.
  • Required to use personal tools.
  • Work overtime as required.
