About The Position

The Learning Experience – Hudson Yards is seeking an experienced Lead Toddler Teacher to lead our Toddler classroom. This role is ideal for an educator who enjoys helping young children develop independence, communication, confidence, and social-emotional skills through engaging, play-based learning. As the Lead Toddler Teacher, you'll create a nurturing and structured classroom while mentoring Assistant Teachers and partnering with families to ensure every child has an exceptional early learning experience.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree, Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, CDA, or High School Diploma with at least five years of relevant early childhood experience
Previous experience leading a toddler classroom preferred
Strong understanding of toddler development and developmentally appropriate practices
Excellent classroom management, leadership, and communication skills
CPR and First Aid certification preferred
Must meet all applicable New York State and New York City childcare licensing requirements

Responsibilities

Lead the daily operation of the Toddler classroom using The Learning Experience's proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum
Plan engaging, developmentally appropriate activities that support language, cognitive, physical, and social-emotional development
Foster independence through consistent routines, exploration, and positive guidance
Create a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom environment
Supervise, mentor, and support Assistant Teachers
Build strong partnerships with families through daily communication and developmental updates
Ensure compliance with all New York State and New York City health, safety, and licensing regulations
Maintain high standards of classroom quality and child engagement
