About The Position

New York Preschool & Kids Club is seeking a dedicated Lead Toddler Teacher to join their mission of providing New York City’s youngest learners with a joyful, solid foundation for lifelong learning. The Lead Toddler Teacher will be the leader of an inclusive, nurturing 2’s classroom, utilizing the Tools of the Mind Curriculum to guide students through intentional play. This role involves fostering a culture that promotes inquiry, independence, and social-emotional intelligence, inspiring children to become lifelong learners.

Requirements

An Infant/Toddler CDA, Associates, Bachelor’s, or Master’s Degree in ECE or a related field (or currently enrolled).
2+ years of lead teaching experience in Pre-K (2-4 year olds).
Pass a physical exam and background check.

Nice To Haves

A NYS Early Childhood Initial or Permanent Certification (B-2 or 1-6) is strongly preferred.
Be a passionate teacher and lifelong learner.

Responsibilities

Use the Tools of the Mind Curriculum to build engaging, play-based, experiential lessons that spark curiosity in preschoolers aged 2.
Ensure every student’s health and safety is the top priority, maintaining a "safe-to-fail" environment where children feel secure enough to take risks and explore their world.
Support the "whole child" - physically, cognitively, and emotionally, while helping them navigate feelings and milestones.
Build trust with parents and caregivers through daily updates, sharing successes and challenges, and bridging school and home.
Work seamlessly with the Head of School and other instructors to maintain the highest standards of safety and collaboration.
