About The Position

We are looking for a dedicated Lead Toddler Teacher to join our mission of giving New York City’s youngest learners a joyful, solid foundation for lifelong learning. In this role, you’ll be the leader of an inclusive, nurturing 2’s classroom, utilizing either the Tools of the Mind Curriculum to guide students through a journey of intentional play. More than just a teacher, you’ll be the architect of a culture that fosters inquiry, independence, and social-emotional intelligence, and inspires children to become lifelong learners.

Requirements

An Infant/Toddler CDA, Associates, Bachelor’s, or Master’s Degree in ECE or a related field (or currently enrolled) required
2+ years of lead teaching experience in Pre-K (2-4 year olds).
Pass a physical exam and background check.

Nice To Haves

A NYS Early Childhood Initial or Permanent Certification (B-2 or 1-6) strongly preferred

Responsibilities

Use the Tools of the Mind Curriculum as your foundation to build engaging, play-based, experiential lessons that spark curiosity in preschoolers aged 2.
Ensure every student’s health and safety is the top priority. You’ll maintain a "safe-to-fail" environment where children feel secure enough to take risks and explore their world.
Support "the whole child"- physically, cognitively, and emotionally, all while helping them navigate big feelings and big milestones.
Build trust with parents and caregivers through daily updates, sharing the successes and challenges of their child’s day, and building a bridge between school and home.
