Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Strong understanding of standard financial services concepts, practices, procedures, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Clear verbal and written English communication skills for member, team, and leadership interactions.
  • Ability to resolve member complaints, coach others, and support consistent member service standards.
  • Good arithmetic skills and the ability to monitor transactions, balancing, cash limits, and related branch controls with accuracy.
  • Basic personal computer skills and the ability to understand Credit Union business processes.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, flexibility, and ability to shift priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a goal-oriented environment while maintaining confidentiality and discretion.
  • Strong commitment to providing excellent service to Truliant’s members.
  • Comfortable leading by example, giving coaching and feedback, and helping the teller team stay aligned with policies, service expectations, and branch priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of teller or branch operations experience in the financial services industry.
  • Previous supervisory experience or experience mentoring team members.
  • Previous sales experience, especially in a service focused environment.
  • An associate degree or higher.
  • Comfort training others on policies, procedures, operational changes, and member service expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Help lead the day to day teller experience by supporting team members, reinforcing service standards, and ensuring transactions and branch cash processes are handled accurately and consistently.
  • Serve as a role model for excellent member service.
  • Help resolve member account concerns with care and confidentiality.
  • Provide leadership support when management is not available.
  • Coach, mentor, and encourage teller team members so they can contribute to branch goals and deliver strong member service.
  • Support accurate teller operations, including balancing standards, cash audits, vault cash, cash dispensing equipment, night depository processing, and related controls.
  • Help the team follow Credit Union policies, security procedures, check hold standards, member identification procedures, and operational updates.
  • Collaborate with branch management.
  • Support new policy and procedure training.
  • Assist with team development conversations.
  • Step in to serve members whenever the branch needs additional support.
