This position is responsible for performing inspections, diagnoses, and repairs of heavy equipment and/or related equipment or components, following established procedures and guidelines. Works as a leader of a team to provide mechanical services that satisfies customer needs and achieves departmental goals. Primarily responsible for establishing production goals, supervising, training and evaluating service employees to ensure that work is performed in support of company’s department goals. Lead position – Generally has more than ten years of experience and/or demonstrated job relevant knowledge/skills. A Lead Technician has a broad knowledge of the field’s standard and technical concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of standard, complex, and technical tasks; is self-starting and requires no supervision. The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices on a daily basis: 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal/external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self-development.
