About The Position

Our customer is one of the countries number one engineering firms, that has been around for 50+ years, and is 100% employee owned. Their telecommunications division provides full turnkey solutions to a number of major clients. They have both a wireline and wireless division within the DMV. Within their wireline group they do a ton of ISP work within the healthcare industry. Our customer is looking for an experienced and professional cable tech to support one of their high profile clients, Medstar out of the Georgetown and Washington Hospital locations. This individual will be the main resource performing MAC (Move, Add, and Change) work for their telecommunications devices. They will coordinate with a Project Manager and received tickets for duties not limited to Closet Build Outs, Racking and Stacking of equipment, Installation of cable, etc. The majority of what they will be work with is CAT6e so they need to know how to perform terminations and testing (Fluke). Fiber experience, Leviton/Bertech OEM experience is a plus. Since they will be working in a healthcare environment, this technician must be very client facing and professional as they are the face of the company on site. They also need to have experience working in such an industry as they will have to keep up with infectious control standards.

Requirements

  • Experience performing MAC (Move, Add, and Change) work for telecommunications devices.
  • Proficiency in performing terminations and testing (Fluke) on CAT6e cable.

Responsibilities
