Responsibilities

  • Own the execution of planograms, ensuring products are placed accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain pricing integrity, including updates, audits, and signage accuracy.
  • Support inventory processes, ensuring stock levels and counts are correct.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for planogram, pricing, and inventory processes.
  • Guide team members by answering questions and helping them make informed decisions.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies quickly to maintain operational excellence.
  • Partner with leadership to ensure smooth execution of resets, transitions, and audits.
  • Engage peers to provide the best possible shopping experience for customers, including an exceptional checkout experience.
  • Communicate with team members and assign daily work tasks.
  • Mentor and coach other team members to ensure customer service and sales goals are exceeded and the area is maintained to Meijer standards.
  • Support training new team members/cross-training high potential talent, providing peer coaching on job responsibilities/standards.
  • Work with leadership on department schedule writing to focus on team member engagement, improving customer service, store sales, and profitability.
  • Ensure freshness of products by closely monitoring execution of rotation and dating policies.
  • Guide the team in compliance with food safety standards and regulations and working in a safe manner aligning to 200% accountability.
  • Lead team members to ensure ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing, and product display are completed, where applicable.
  • Actively create an environment that supports the Meijer culture, including valuing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
  • Operate a register and handle cash when needed.
  • Operate powered equipment, where applicable.
  • Participate in period-end inventories, where applicable, to help achieve goals.
  • May be required to act in a Lead capacity in other departments throughout the store.
