About The Position

The Lead Teacher is responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lesson plans and instructional materials that align with Teaching Strategies Gold objectives. This role involves adapting classroom activities, supporting other teachers, and utilizing digital platforms for instruction and communication. The Lead Teacher will administer assessments, manage students, report observations, and attend professional development meetings to ensure compliance with state regulations and school policies. Additionally, the role involves assisting with daily care routines for children and advocating for the school's vision and mission.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree
Provision of federal criminal background checks covering the countries that you have lived and worked in for the last 10 years.
Convictions highlighted will be reviewed against standard Safeguarding principles of working with children.
All checks requested to be received prior to commencement of employment.

Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials specific to the content area and aligned with Teaching Strategies Gold objectives.
Ensure lesson plan timelines are met.
Adapt classroom activities, assignments, and/or materials for the purpose of supporting and reinforcing classroom goals and objectives.
Support other classroom teachers in the implementation of the established curriculum.
Engage students, individually or in small groups, with lesson assignments for the purpose of practicing and/or reinforcing learning concepts and assisting students in reaching academic goals and developmental milestones.
Ensure effective use of digital platforms to support instruction and communication (including but not limited to Seesaw, Engage, and email).
Administer formative and summative assessments for the purpose of measuring developmental growth.
Communicate tasks to assistant for the purpose of implementing classroom objectives.
Maintain classroom equipment, work area, and records for the purpose of ensuring availability of items; providing written reference; providing a safe learning environment; and/or meeting mandated requirements.
Manage individual and/or groups of students in a variety of settings for the purpose of providing a safe and positive learning environment.
Report observations and incidents relating to specific students for the purpose of communicating information to appropriate instructional and/or administrative personnel.
Attend meetings and in-service presentations for the purpose of acquiring and/or conveying information relative to job functions.
Perform other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
Be familiar with and adhere to Type II state regulations, school policies and procedures, emergency drills, and safeguarding guidelines.
Attend professional development meetings and workshops to meet state guidelines.
Assist in diaper changing, bottle feeding, snack and lunch time, play time, stroller rides, etc.
Perform tasks as directed by the principal and/or Preschool Director.
