About The Position

The Learning Experience of The Learning Experience #144 is hiring a Lead Teacher to support children’s growth and development in a daycare and private preschool setting. The Lead Teacher leads classroom operations and co-teachers while creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children to play and learn. The role implements the proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum® with infants, toddlers, and/or preschool children, adapting to each child’s needs. The Lead Teacher communicates with families about children’s activities and achievements and partners with center staff and leadership to support enrollment and engagement goals.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED and 12 ECE college credits required.
Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP).
Must meet state-specific guidelines for the role.

Nice To Haves

At least 1 year of professional teaching experience preferred.
Associate degree or higher in early childhood education (ECE) or a related field preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and mentor classroom co-teachers by modeling behaviors and providing feedback.
Manage the classroom and lead a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
Serve as a role model, use a growth mindset, and inspire children’s love of learning.
Implement the proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum® with infants, toddlers, and/or preschool children in a way that addresses each child’s unique needs.
Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
Communicate regularly with parents about children’s activities and achievements through mobile apps and personal discussions.
Partner with center staff and leadership to support goals around enrollment and engagement.
Build relationships with families and coworkers and foster an environment where play and learning happen seamlessly.
