About this role: You’ll use your caring attitude, creative nature and excellent communication skills in the classroom to foster curriculum-based play. Among your responsibilities will be: Planning and implementing engaging lesson plans that align with Kiddie Academy’s Life Essentials® curriculum. Providing general classroom supervision, which includes personal care, hygiene and positive guidance for the children. Prepare materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate and use, both in learning activities and in active play. For infants, using the New Beginnings program within Kiddie Academy’s Life Essentials Curriculum, to reinforce individuality, and support development within a loving, nurturing environment. For toddlers, using the Discovering Me program within Kiddie Academy’s Life Essentials Curriculum as a guide through sensory based learning experience
Requirements
- 1-year minimum early childhood education work experience
- 45 Hour Infant Toddler Certification required, 90 Hour Preschool Certification is preferred in addition.
- Must meet all requirements stipulated by the state of Maryland and local regulatory agencies
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the workday to at least waist high and pass a medical exam/physical
