About The Position
Learning Village is seeking passionate individuals to join their team as Lead Teachers and Assistant Teachers. Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older (Assistant Teacher)
- HS Diploma/GED (Assistant Teacher)
- 1 year experience working with children under 13 (Assistant Teacher)
- Associate’s degree, Child Development Associate Credential, OR 9 college credits with plan of study leading to degree/CDA (Lead Teacher)
- 2 years experience with children under 13 (Lead Teacher)
- 1 year supervisory experience (Lead Teacher)
- Basic computer skills
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to relate to diverse groups in the community
Responsibilities
- Work with children under 13
- Maintain 30 hours of childcare-related training every 2 years
- Complete Tuberculosis (TB) Test and physician’s clearance to work in childcare
- Utilize basic computer skills
- Demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Relate to diverse groups in the community
- Complete Child Abuse Prevention (Supervisory Staff), CPR, First Aid, AED, Blood-borne Pathogens trainings within 30 days of hire
