About The Position

Learning Village is seeking passionate individuals to join their team as Lead Teachers and Assistant Teachers. These roles are crucial in providing a nurturing and educational environment for children. The Assistant Teacher position requires a minimum of 18 years of age, a HS Diploma/GED, and 1 year of experience working with children under 13. The Lead Teacher position, specifically for a UPK Classroom, requires an Associate’s degree, Child Development Associate Credential, OR 9 college credits with a plan of study leading to a degree/CDA, 2 years of experience with children under 13, and 1 year of supervisory experience. Both positions require ongoing training, specific health clearances, basic computer skills, strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities, and the ability to relate to diverse groups. Additional certifications like CPR, First Aid, AED, and Blood-borne Pathogens training are required within 30 days of hire.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older
HS Diploma/GED
1 year experience working with children under 13
Associate’s degree, Child Development Associate Credential, OR 9 college credits with plan of study leading to degree/CDA
2 years experience with children under 13
1 year supervisory experience
Maintain 30 hours of childcare-related training every 2 years
Tuberculosis (TB) Test and physician’s clearance to work in childcare
Basic computer skills
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to relate to diverse groups in the community
CPR, First Aid, AED, Blood-borne Pathogens trainings (completed within 30 days of hire)
