About The Position

Oxfam America is seeking a Lead Talent Acquisition Partner to manage full-cycle recruitment, assist hiring managers in making equitable decisions, and create an effective onboarding experience. This role is within a mission-driven organization focused on ending poverty and injustice by addressing root causes like inequality, economic injustice, gender inequality, and climate action. The position offers an opportunity for an experienced recruiter to engage in both relationship-building and process development within the talent acquisition field.

Requirements

  • Degree in human resources, business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
  • At least 7 years, or equivalent, experience in talent acquisition, recruitment operations, onboarding, or a related human resources function.
  • Demonstrated experience managing full-cycle recruitment across all levels, from individual contributors and managers to executive roles.
  • Strong business acumen to advise hiring managers while supporting an inclusive, structured selection practice.
  • Experience coordinating onboarding, orientation, and employment documentation.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. employment laws affecting recruitment and onboarding.
  • Proven experience as a thought partner to executives and key decision makers.
  • Demonstrates a bias for action and solution-oriented.
  • Experience using applicant tracking and human resources information systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple recruitments, deadlines, and stakeholder relationships.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining complete and accurate records.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Cultural humility and the ability to work effectively across different functions, identities, backgrounds, and cultures.
  • Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential information.

Responsibilities

  • Manage recruitment from job scoping and intake through ongoing outreach, screening, interviews, talent evaluation, references, background checks, and employment offers.
  • Partner with hiring managers to design, execute, and manage recruitment plans, establish hiring timelines, and an equitable, structured selection process.
  • Coach hiring teams on inclusive recruitment practices and the effective use of our ATS (Applicant Tracking System), SmartRecruiters.
  • Craft engaging, transparent job advertisements for use on targeted career and social media platforms that clearly define the role’s scope and promote employment opportunities.
  • Create and monitor robust talent pipelines, while maintaining a timely, respectful, and equity-focused candidate experience at every interaction.
  • Cultivate and optimize relationships with diverse professional networks, agencies, universities, community organizations, and other outreach partners to broaden our talent reach.
  • Represent Oxfam America at virtual and in-person career events.
  • Design talent analytics to track pipeline health and key metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, quality of hire, acceptance and retention rate), and report on recruitment outcomes.
  • Facilitate a consistent, welcoming onboarding process for new employees.
  • Develop role-specific onboarding experience with hiring managers and internal partners.
  • Facilitate biweekly new employee orientation sessions.
  • Lead the operational logistics for onboarding across Human Resources, hiring departments, Finance, and Technology and Information Management.
  • Ensure timely, compliant completion of Form I-9, E-Verify, tax forms, policy acknowledgments, and other required employment documentation.
  • Enter and maintain accurate employee information in applicable HR systems.
  • Partner with Technology and Information Management and the hiring management team to ensure employees have the equipment, access, and support they need.
  • Gather feedback from new employees and managers to assess, refine, and strengthen the onboarding experience.
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, tracking, and management of intern, fellow, and volunteer programs.
  • Partner with managers to establish assignments, learning objectives, supervision expectations, and program timelines.
  • Develop and implement outreach strategies to cultivate relationships with diverse universities and constituencies.
  • Maintain required documentation and support compliance with applicable labor laws and educational agreements.
  • Monitor participation and outcomes and recommend program improvements.
  • Maintain accurate analytics and recruitment information in SmartRecruiters, Unit4 Business World, ADP Workforce Now, and other applicable systems.
  • Maintain recruitment tools, templates, process guides, and standard operating procedures.
  • Analyze recruitment and onboarding data to identify trends, barriers, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure recruitment and onboarding records are complete, accurate, and audit-ready.
  • Partner with HR colleagues to improve efficiency and efficacy without losing the human connection candidates and employees deserve.
  • Perform other duties reasonably related to the position.
